This website, zameerfaiz.com (“the site”), is the professional portfolio of Zameer Faiz, an independent software engineer. This policy explains what personal data the site collects, why, and what your choices are. The short version: the site collects nothing beyond what you type into the contact form and standard, aggregated analytics — and none of it is ever sold or shared for marketing.
What data is collected
Contact form.If you send a project brief through the contact form, the site collects the information you provide — typically your name, email address, and the message describing your project. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and discuss your project. It is delivered as an email via Resend (an email delivery service) and retained in the recipient’s mailbox like any business correspondence.
Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use it — pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type, and referral source. Google Analytics sets cookies for this purpose. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
Server logs. The site is hosted on Vercel, whose infrastructure keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and request metadata) for security and operations, subject to Vercel’s privacy policy.
What is not collected
The site has no user accounts, no newsletter, no advertising or ad-tracking pixels, and no social-media trackers. Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Third-party services
Three services process data on the site’s behalf: Vercel (hosting), Google Analytics (aggregate usage statistics), and Resend (contact-form email delivery). Each processes only the data needed for its function, under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
The only cookies the site sets are those used by Google Analytics to distinguish visits in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without affecting the site’s functionality, or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Your rights
You can ask at any time what personal data of yours is held (in practice: your contact-form correspondence), request a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Depending on where you live — including under the EU’s GDPR — these may be legal rights as well as promises. To exercise any of them, email zamir596@gmail.com and the request will be handled within a reasonable time, without charge.
Changes to this policy
If the site’s data practices change — for example, a new analytics tool or form — this page will be updated and the “last updated” date revised. Substantive changes will not apply retroactively to data collected under an earlier version.
